John C. Aliano has been a director of photography
and cinematography/lighting instructor for over 15
years. His clients have included independent
filmmakers to ABC television. His award winning
short films have screened at the American
Cinematheque in Los Angeles and the National
Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
He has also won an Emmy Award for location lighting.
He has taught classes and workshops at colleges and companies including Loyola Marymount University, College of Santa Fe, Cogswell Polytechnical College, Adolph Gasser Inc., Film Arts Foundation and Pixar Animation Studios. Currently he is adjunct faculty at City College of San Francisco and the Art Institute of California.
